Study so far
Thursday - 6 September, 2007
Since I actually started writing this blog a little while after we actually started the interaction design course, I will make a little recap now. Details will be added later…
What we’ve done so far (a very rough overview):
- Introduction / experience prototyping: Mosse Simon and we (the class) talk about the small, cute interaction we like and other introductory stuff. Then we formed groups and started working on an experience prototype: A lightbulb – how to control it.
- Show and Tell: I talked to much, I know. It’s hard to stop talking about myself;)
- Paper prototyping / user testing: We made a coffee machine out of cardboard and Post-It’s. The head honcho of the IDE institute himself were challenged with the task of making himself a nice cup of imaginary coffee.
- First round of monday lectures. Theme of the day: Emphatic User Insight. Clarie Glenton, Lasse Hamre, Are Halland and Rich Ling filled several pages in my notebook.
- Timo talked a bit about his projects, a bit about some other projects and a lot about methodologies.
- Rich Ling on “social consequences of technology”: We listened, noted, discussed and made concepts on future possibilities within todays topic.
I know this isn’t very detailed info, and some of the points above will be filled in with more detail in posts to come. So forgive me for starting late, not bothering to write more now and generally being a slob at posting, it’s not my intention to hurt anybody’s feelings here!
